A Batida Da Rua

Hexham Round Table has a long established relationship with the Samba Band based at the Hexham Queen Elizabeth High School and has helped to fund the purchase of Equipment to allow the group to be self funded. Andy Brook organsises the Band and it has gone from strength to strength since it's inception.

Andy brings a huge amount of energy and dedication to the group and has enabled them to play at the Luton Carnival, Hitchin Festival and the on the last mile at the Great North Run.

The group also play at the Hexham Bonfire at the top of the Sele every year as part of our fantastic entertainment.  This is a highlight of their calendar to quote Andy '...we even had people coming back from university just to be back in the band for the night! '

We're absolutely delighted to have such a great Samba Band in Hexham and continue to support them through donations
